In Salinas, patrols along the Atalaia and Farol beaches start at 6 AM
The municipality received integrated actions to combat noise pollution, the use of cutting lines in kites, and the use of glass bottles on the sand

The inspection actions carried out in the municipality of Salinópolis, northeastern Pará, during the last weekend, ensured safe leisure for vacationers and residents of the municipality. The Summer Operation 2025, with the integrated action of the State Public Safety System agencies, under the coordination of the Secretary of Public Safety and Social Defense (Segup), intensified inspections since last Friday (11), with actions to combat noise pollution, the use of cutting lines in kites, and the use of glass bottles on the sand that cause damage to the environment, in addition to visible patrolling.

Segup Secretary, Ualame Machado, highlighted the good results of the work: "Despite the intense movement and varied programs that took place this weekend on the beaches of the municipality of Salinas, we maintained tranquility regarding occurrences," he said.
“We have been conducting actions of the Summer Operation since June 28, but the teams, which are operating on the roads, in the field, and in monitoring, have observed the increasing flow of people in Salinas every passing weekend. This weekend, in particular, several programs attracted more people to the region; however, tranquility and safety remained as planned, with no records of serious crimes. We will continue with intensified actions so that everyone can have a safe leisure time and social peace is maintained until the end of the summer season,” said the public safety secretary.
Operation Cleanup
The first action developed in the early morning of Saturday, Sunday, and this Monday (12 to 14) began at 5:30 AM with patrolling along the Atalaia and Farol Velho beaches, in order to carry out a "sweep" to end and remove the automotive sounds that were still present on the sand of the beaches, in compliance with a court decision that allows the presence of these vehicles only between 6 PM and 6 AM.

The patrolling started every day after a briefing held at the Integrated Command and Control Center, covering from the tip of Sofia and finishing at the ramp leading to the beach. Continuing along the Farol Velho beach.
On Saturday morning (12), about 8 vehicles were still on the sand, all with their sounds turned off, leaving immediately after the arrival of the inspection teams. On Sunday (13), more than 20 vehicles with automotive sounds were approached and instructed to also leave the sand area of the beach. Those who still had their sounds on turned off the equipment and cleared the sand area of the beaches, without incidents.

The action continued on the morning of this Monday, with tranquility and no vehicle movement on the sand of the beaches. “To ensure compliance with the court order, in addition to clearing the sand for the start of the marking with the flags placed by Segup for traffic management on the beach during the day, our patrolling starts at 6 AM, integrating all forces of the Security System, guiding the exit of vehicles with automotive sounds that are still on the beach, as well as the removal of trash produced by them from the location, so that we can maintain order and the preservation of the beach. This weekend, we had no problems during the approaches; they generally turn off the sound at the designated time, and if they are still on the sand after our guidance, they leave in compliance with the court order,” explained the Segup Operations Coordinator, Lieutenant Colonel Celton Moraes.

Actions on Sunday (13)
After the Cleanup Operation in the early hours of Sunday morning, the teams continued to operate throughout the day with patrols along the beaches, in order to curb offenses, monitor, and also inspect the use of glass bottles on the sand, as well as the use of cutting lines.
During the morning, integrated teams seized some spools and rolls of lines with cerol being used in kites, complying with the legislation and preventing any accidents that could occur.
